This 435 acre park, just east of Etobicoke Creek, has 3 ball diamonds, a cricket pitch, the Centennial Park Arena, lacrosse/football field, playground, indoor swimming pool, tennis course, a toboggan hill, a go-cart track, a 2,200 seat stadium with running track, a 27 hole golf course and a ski hill (used for hang-gliding, para-gliding in summer). Centennial Park Snow Centre features day and night skiing, with a T-bar and Poma Lift. The park has three greenhouses and the conservatory has 1080 square metres (12,000 square feet) of plant collections. There are also nine picnic areas, with bathrooms (permits needed for large gatherings).

This conservatory has three glass-roofed buildings cover 12,000 square feet and are filled with interesting plant collections, including coffee trees, banana, fig, palms and pomegranates. Free admission. Free parking is available. The conservatory is wheelchair accessible. Open 10am to 5pm Mon to Sun. For wedding picture permits call 416-392-8188.


Eglinton Flats Park
York Eglinton Ave W and Black Creek Dr
This 129 acre park alongside the Humber River is a popular venue for team sports, with bocce lanes, 2 cricket pitches. 6 soccer fields, 4 field hockey pitches, 2 football and rugby fields and tennis courts. Toronto's largest sports complex occupies three quadrants at the Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West intersection, and has been operational since 1977. The tennis bubble makes the 6 of 12 tennis courts playable year-round. The Colonel George Topham V.C.pond is surrounded by a nice walking trail.
