Travel Accommodation: Choosing a Hotel or Motel
There is accommodation in York Region to suit any budget. You can stay at the local Hostel for only dollars a day, or you can stay in hotel suites that are good enough for visiting prime ministers. Pricing is somewhat seasonal. The summer travel season is offset by the year-round business needs of area head office, as well as by out-of-town travellers staying in airport-area hotels just before or after international trips. Each hotel's dates for high, low, and shoulder seasons differ a bit so watch your timing or your hotel. Our pricing guidelines (exclusive of taxes) are as follows:
Location
The desired location of the hotel depends on the purpose of your visit.
We have grouped the hotels by "Area" to assist you with selecting appropriate accommodation. The Area is in most cases, the city in which a hotel is located. If you are in York Region on business, you should ensure you are staying in the RIGHT part of York Region, to be closest to your meetings. For hotels right around Pearson Airport, use our Mississsauga Hotels search. If you are travelling along the major highways, there are some areas closest to the 407 (from west to east) Woodbridge, Concord, Thornhill, Unionville and Markham, and along Highway 400 (from south to north), there's Woodbridge, Concord, Maple, King City and Bradford, and along the 404 (from south to north), are Richmond Hill, Oak Ridges, Aurora, Newmarket and Holland Landing. If you are visiting the area's many natural delights, then you'll want to choose accommodation that is fairly close to your favoured attractions. For accommodation close to Paramount Canada's Wonderland, look in either Maple or Woodbridge. For accommodation along Lake Simcoe, you need to search in Keswick and Georgina. If you are trying to find something VERY NEAR your meeting, use the "Postal" feature in the Hotel Search screen, where we match the first the digits/characters of the postal code! This also works on our Restaurant search, to find a restaurant near your hotel (and in every other search form on our site).
